Burrrn

WAV, MP3, OGG, and other audio formats are supported. I bring this up because you can select supported audio files and burn them onto CDs with the free Burrrn tool. You see, this is an application that allows you to burn audio CDs. Select the files you want to burn, hit the Burrrn button, and moments later you will have an audio CD that you can use as you please.

Download an installer, run it, follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard. These are the steps you must go through to install Burrrn on your Windows-powered PC. During the installation process, the setup wizard will ask you if you want to associate .CUE file with Burrrn. Alongside CUE files, Burrrn provides support for other formats: WAV, MP3, MPC, OGG, AAC, MP4, APE, FLAC, OFR, WV, TTA, M3U, PLS, FPL.

The main panel on Burrrn’s interface lists the files you want to burn. At the top there’s a section that allows you to enter the Artist and Title. On the side there are buttons for various functions: start the burn process, set the writing speed, erase CD-RW, and more. Place the mouse cursor on these buttons and balloon tips will show up and humorously present what the buttons do. Put the mouse cursor on top of CD Length for example and you will be presented with a balloon tip that says “well, length IS important.”

There is nothing complicated about using Burrrn. As is usually the case with applications of this type, using Burrrn is a simple 3-step process: load the audio files you want to burn; launch the burning process; wait for it to complete. In very little time you will create an audio CD that you can use as you see fit.
